ABOUT RON BRYANT
Primarily I am a landscape painter who nature and the outdoors.
When I paint I like to feel a connection with the subject and I try to focus on capturing the light and mood that I am seeing and to portray that experience on to the canvas. I express this feeling in all of my works some of which I finish very quickly others take many months. I am in no hurry as long as it comes from the heart.
I tend not to be prolific painter however when I paint I choose carefully what I am about to paint as my paintings reflect also the energy I am feeling.
My paintings represent vibrant colours in an expressionistic style.

Biography
Ron Bryant was born in Sydney and from an early age he was drawn to express himself through art.
One of Bryant’s first jobs was in the advertising department of a Sydney department store. During this period he attended a commercial art course at East Sydney Technical College – now called the National Arts School of Australia.
Over a period of the next ten years he felt the need to explore other creative areas to supplement his income. He chose photography and studied under a well known Sydney photographer. He also gained recognition by being inducted in to the Australian Professional Photographers Association.
He concentrated his business on commercial and fashion photography and was fortunate to be offered a contract by a large Sydney advertising agency to shoot commercial pages for client catalogues including a double page spreads for a Sydney daily newspaper.
He did this for a number of years before following another path that led him to other business ventures far away from being creative.
In 2005 he was asked to join a local watercolour group that inspired him to follow his creative dream once again.
In 2010 Bryant began pastel studies under Master Pastelist Louise Corke PSA as well as being tutored in other mediums by artists such as Herman Pekel, John Wilson and Brian Cook.
To further his studies he has painted and attended workshops in Greece, UK, Scotland and the USA. He is owner/director at Wisteria Cottage Fine Art Studio in Mt Tamborine Qld Australia where he co ordinates workshops as well as tutoring.
Bryant’s overall emphasis on painting has been the continuation of the passion taught by his tutors where painting outdoors should be an exercise in note taking with colour and observations of life to capture the light and the mood of the subject and to establish the basis for future works from these studies.
